Late 14th C Articulated Knee
This style of articulated knee was one of the first truly successful articulating
knee styles ever designed. 14th C armor tended to have simpler, less sweeping lines than
later plate armor. This version has 4 articulating lames and a demi-greave.
A similar type articulated knee was made without any upper lames. In that
case, the cuisse was embossed to act as the upper lame.
CLANG's 14th C articulated knee is shown here with optional "V" fluting,
which was popular at this time.
